The SA Human Rights Commission says it has launched an investigation after reports that a person died due to a heart attack at one of the SASSA contact offices in Cape Town. Police and law enforcement were called to assist with crowd control and compliance at the Gugulethu, Bellville and Eersterivier offices last week, with the SAHRC condemning the use of a water cannon on beneficiaries outside the Bellville office.
