
The Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta says there is an urgent need for African countries to build their Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing capabilities.
Kenyatta met with President Cyril Ramaphosa in Pretoria yesterday.
He says its is unfortunate that at a time, when the world should be collaborating to fight the pandemic, many overseas countries are still hoarding their vaccine supplies.
Kenyatta and Ramaphosa will be visiting the Aspen Pharmacare vaccine manufacturing facility in the Eastern Cape today.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says there is a multitude of sectors in which South Africa and Kenya could continue to boost their trade and cooperation.
He says greater trade volumes between the two countries would lead to faster economic growth and investment.
Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta is currently on an official state visit to South Africa and had bilateral trade talks with Ramaphosa in Pretoria.
