SAA has resumed its flights after the airline had been in voluntary business rescue for more than a year.
Flights resumed this morning on the Johannesburg-Cape Town route.
The airline will also fly to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lusaka in Zambia, Maputo in Mozambique and Accra in Ghana.
The government announced in June that a 51% stake in the airline would be sold to the Takatso Consortium, although the deal has not yet been finalized.
