A team of World Health Organisation (WHO) experts has recently visited South Africa to gauge the successes of the use of traditional medicines to fight Covid-19.

The WHO says South Africa is one of many African countries which has been at the forefront of curbing the spread of the virus using traditional medicine and therapeutics.

Member of the WHO Regional Advisory Committee, professor Motlalepula Matsabisa spoke to Newsroom Afrika and said some of the results are promising.

He says further studies will now be undertaken.
