The Western Cape has now expanded its Covid-19 vaccination programme to rural areas.

Premier Alan Winde says the province would continually increase the number of vaccination-centres to ensure that the vaccine becomes more accessible to residents.

He visited Malmesbury yesterday, and says efforts are being made to notify residents of their vaccination date, long before their injections are due.

Winde says, in time, the distance between residents and their nearest vaccination centre would gradually decrease.

He called on Government to reopen registrations on the country’s EVDS-system, to allow people between 50 and 59, to now already register for their covid-19 vaccine.

He says this would significantly help stream-line the country’s vaccination drive.

If you are over 60, you can register for your vaccination here.
