Law enforcement interventions under the province’s Safety Plan have resulted in the authorities improving the recovery of illegal firearms, since July, by 372%.

Before the interventions, less than 4 illegal firearms were recovered per month between February 2020 and June this year. After the measures, an average of 17 illegal firearms was recovered every month.
