The mayor of the Overstrand Municipality, Annelie Rabie says the fire in Perdeberg, which is the mountain above Kleinmond, has been partly contained.
Fire crews have worked through the night to put out hot spots and cool down the vicinity of Arabella and Karwyderskraal, in the Overberg.
