The FNB/BER Consumer Confidence Index has slipped to minus 25 in the second quarter, from minus 13 in the first quarter. This amid rising inflation and a struggling economy. FNB Chief Economist Mamello Matikincangwenya says consumers have been pummeled by price shocks.
